V2X is seeking a
Cybersecurity Analyst II
to join our AFCENT NOSC IT team. The candidate should have mid-level experience in analyzing intrusion detection systems (IDS), conducting vulnerability assessments, and developing methods to detect and prevent network intrusion. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.
Responsibilities
Analyze network intrusion detection systems and conduct vulnerability assessments.
Develop methods to detect and prevent intrusive activities utilizing knowledge; assist in developing countermeasures to isolate, contain, and prevent intrusive activities and secure the network.
Install, configure, maintain, and manage security devices including IDS/IPS, ESS/HBSS, and forensic tools.
Assist in development and documentation of sensor processes and checklists.
Analyze logs from network firewall, DNS, proxy, domain controller, file server, and Active Directory.
Identify, contain, log, and analyze intrusive activities and security vulnerabilities on networks.
Conduct network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using IDS/IPS, firewall, proxy, router, Fidelis, Trellix, and LogRhythm logs.
Write and develop custom scripts to perform tasks related to all cybersecurity toolsets.
Provide general IT management, networking, LAN, WAN Enterprise support, and technical O&M support as required.
Provide documentation, reports, meetings/briefings, functional training, OCONUS deployment/TDY travel, and CONUS TDY support as required.
Qualifications
Associates degree in related field and 3+ years of relevant IT experience
5+ years of relevant IT experience
CompTIA Network+ certification
Cisco CCNA certification
ITIL Foundation certification (candidate has up to 60 days to acquire)
Experience
Firewall experience
Experience installing Microsoft Windows Server in host and compute environments, using server images
Experience implementing storage solutions, high availability, DNS, DHCP, network connectivity, remote access, core and distributed network solutions, and maintaining and monitoring server environments
