TheCoastal Bend Business Innovation Center (CBBIC)
at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi supports entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses across campus and the Coastal Bend region through innovation programs, mentorship, and technology-driven solutions.
We are seeking a Graphic Design, Social Media, and UI/UX Design Intern
who is creative, strategic, and interested in helping tell the story of innovation in our region.
This role goes beyond traditional graphic design. The intern will help develop marketing campaigns, create engaging visual content, and design digital experiences
that showcase entrepreneurs, promote innovation programs, and support technology projects developed by the Center and its clients.
The intern will work closely with Center staff on marketing initiatives, branding, startup storytelling, and digital product design , gaining real-world experience at the intersection of design, entrepreneurship, and technology innovation .
This is a part-time, in person, student position (up to 20 hours per week)
located at the Flour Bluff Building.
What You Will Work On
Marketing & Storytelling
Design graphics and visual assets for social media, marketing campaigns, events, and website content.
Help tell the story of entrepreneurs, startups, and innovation programs
supported by the Center.
Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
for programs, workshops, and community initiatives.
Develop engaging social media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X (Twitter) .
Support marketing campaigns that highlight startup success stories, events, and innovation initiatives .
Graphic Design & Brand Development
Create visually compelling graphics for marketing materials, presentations, and promotional content.
Maintain brand consistency following Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi branding guidelines .
Support branding and creative needs for Center clients and partner organizations .
UI/UX & Digital Product Design
Assist in designing wireframes and UI mockups for web and mobile applications
being developed by the Center.
Help translate ideas and concepts into simple visual prototypes or wireframes .
Support the design of digital tools used by entrepreneurs and businesses.
Work with Center staff to ensure digital interfaces are user-friendly and visually engaging .
Content Creation & Event Support
Capture and design visual content for Center events, programs, and workshops.
Assist with photography, visual storytelling, and digital content creation.
Analyze social media engagement metrics to understand what content performs best.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Canva
Experience withAdobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other graphic design tools
Experience creating wireframes or UI designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar platforms
Experience withMicrosoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency with at least one major AI platform
Knowledge ofFacebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter)
Strong Proof Reading Skills
