
Credit Officer - Global Markets Credit - Municipal Banking and Markets

Job Description
The Credit Officer role requires a comprehensive skill set to effectively execute broad risk management responsibilities within Corporate & Financial Institutions Credit Risk. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the Global Banking & Markets product spectrum, driving speed to market and asset quality, assessing credit worthiness of prospective borrowers and trading counterparties, managing a complex, high‑volume portfolio, providing high quality credit approvals, structuring transactions and negotiating documentation, establishing internal risk ratings, and managing relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of credit risk management of municipal banking and markets counterparties and issuers.
Manage a high‑volume, fast‑paced portfolio using a risk‑based approach to support revenue generation while adhering to established credit risk standards.
Partner closely with Global Markets stakeholders, including Trading, Structuring, Sales, and internal support functions.
Evaluate and support transactions within a dynamic capital markets and trading environment, requiring strong execution and prioritization skills.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of counterparty credit risk management and due diligence experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with financial institutions or municipal counterparties.

Annualized salary: $145,000.00 – $198,000.00 (based on experience, education and skill set).
Discretionary incentive eligible as part of the annual discretionary plan.
