Senior Talent Inclusivity Ambassador

Mavagi, San Antonio, TX, United States

Senior Talent Inclusivity Ambassador

Mavagi Enterprises Inc - San Antonio, TX 78249
This Role Is Not For Everyone. It Might Be For You.

You follow up before you're asked. You notice what others miss and you don't walk past it. You can hold a real conversation with anyone, not because you're working the room, but because people genuinely feel heard when they talk to you. And you know how to close. You move things forward and you own your decisions.
What You'll Be Doing

You will lead recruiting in support of the AbilityOne program, a federal initiative creating employment opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities. This is structured, compliance-driven, meaningful work that requires you to hold people, process, and documentation at the same time without dropping any of them.
Own the full recruiting cycle under AbilityOne and regulated frameworks
Manage candidate qualifications and compliance documentation with precision
Communicate proactively and move with urgency without being prompted
Partner with operations and compliance to ensure every placement is correct and ethical
You Are A Strong Fit If You:

Have experience in compliance-driven or disability-focused recruiting
Are known for follow-through, not just initiative
Make decisions with available information and adjust, you don't stall
Take ownership without needing to be managed closely
Why This Work Matters

Every placement creates access to employment for someone who might not have had it otherwise. If that draws you in rather than slows you down, we want to hear from you.
Recruiting and Candidate Management

Own the full recruiting cycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and submitting qualified candidates for open positions
Prioritize candidates who meet AbilityOne disability eligibility requirements and ensure accurate documentation of qualifications
Maintain consistent and professional communication with candidates throughout the process, providing clarity and follow-through at every stage
Conduct structured interviews using established guides and person-centered assessment tools
Schedule and attend job/career fairs, community outreach events, and recruiting events as a source to generate qualified applicants and support recruiting initiatives; travel to off-site events is required as part of these duties and constitutes 25% of the role.
Compliance and Documentation

Ensure all recruiting activity aligns with AbilityOne program guidelines, EEOC standards, and applicable federal and state regulations
Maintain accurate and complete candidate records in Paycom and Monday.com
Submit weekly updates summarizing sourcing activity, outreach attempts, candidate pipeline status, and any barriers encountered
Flag compliance concerns proactively before they become problems
Collaboration and Communication

Partner with HR leadership, operations, and site supervisors to understand staffing needs and priorities
Communicate proactively and consistently without waiting to be prompted
Coordinate site visits and supervisor introductions as candidates move through the hiring process
Support a smooth handoff to HR staff at the point of hire, as onboarding remains the responsibility of internal HR
Other

Perform additional recruiting and HR support duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required

Minimum 1-2 years of recruiting or HR experience in a compliance-driven, regulated, or social services environment
Demonstrated ability to manage detailed documentation and follow processes with precision
Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels

Proficiency in Paycom or a comparable HRIS system
Experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred

Degree or certification in Human Resources, Social Work, Rehabilitation Services, Disability Studies, or a related field
Familiarity with the AbilityOne program, SourceAmerica, or disability employment frameworks
Experience recruiting or working directly with individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of FLSA, EEOC, and federal compliance standards related to hiring
What We Value Over a Resume

If you don't check every box but you have a track record of doing hard things carefully, communicating without being asked, and finishing what you start, we still want to hear from you.
