Order Entry Specialist
As an Order Entry Specialist, you are accountable for delivering error-free order execution, accelerated cycle times, and seamless revenue enablement through disciplined systems use, proactive problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration. This role goes beyond transaction processing to own the integrity of the order lifecycle, ensuring that every order supports on-time delivery, margin protection, and an exceptional customer experience.
You will leverage data, KPIs, and root cause analysis to continuously improve performance, reduce rework, and eliminate inefficiencies. As a critical connector across Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Logistics, you will anticipate risks, remove barriers, and drive solutions that enable the business to scale effectively.
This role is designed to build deep operational expertise, business acumen, and cross-functional influence, contributing to a high-performance, continuous improvement culture where training, competency mastery, and accountability drive measurable results.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Own and deliver 100% order accuracy, ensuring all transactions are executed with precision and validated against customer, pricing, and operational requirements.
Drive on-time order fulfillment and cycle time reduction by proactively managing timelines, identifying risks early, and coordinating solutions across departments.
Act as the central point of accountability for the end-to-end order lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution from order entry through delivery.
Identify, investigate, and eliminate root causes of errors, rework, and delays to continuously improve operational performance.
Enable revenue by removing order-related barriers, ensuring orders flow efficiently without preventable disruptions or delays.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Logistics to optimize execution, prioritize critical orders, and align on business objectives.
Provide proactive, solution-oriented communication to customers and Account Executives, ensuring transparency and confidence throughout the order process.
Own the resolution of returns, discrepancies, and exceptions, ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-focused outcomes while preventing recurrence.
Maintain system and data integrity across ERP and CRM platforms, ensuring all information supports accurate forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.
Apply business acumen in daily decisions, balancing customer satisfaction, operational feasibility, and margin impact.
Continuously build product, process, and system knowledge to improve execution quality and support broader business initiatives.
Contribute to process improvements, SOP enhancements, and workflow optimization to increase efficiency and reduce variability.
Strives to promote a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to all quality and safety standards within the department to ensure the safe production and shipment of quality food products.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of college coursework.
Experience:
