Director of UDAE Finance - University Development and Alumni Engagement

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Administration and Engagement, the Director of UDAE Finance is responsible for the financial operations of University Development and Alumni Engagement. This position will play a critical role in the financial reporting and long‑term planning for UDAE.

Key Qualifications

Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures in a complex environment with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply them.

Ability to comprehend financial reports prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

General knowledge in the execution of principles and best practices with fiscal management, record keeping, accounting and budgeting.

Working knowledge of fiscal analysis and techniques. Expertise in monitoring and maintaining operating expenses.

Demonstrated ability in investigating and analyzing problem with a broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.

Skilled leader who can inspire, lead day‑to‑day operations, encourage professional development of individual team members, and create high‑functioning team performance of direct reports.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or business, with at least one year of managerial experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis.

Salary and Benefits
The anticipated hiring range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000. Note that the offer is calculated based on the background and relevant years of experience of the individual selected. Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). Supplemental Information
