Compensation Range: $150,000–$250,000 Annually (DOE)
About The Role
As Vice President of Business Development, you’ll be a strategic growth leader—building meaningful relationships, earning trust with owners and partners, and positioning Redstone as the operator of choice across student housing and multifamily markets. You’ll own the full growth lifecycle: identifying opportunities, guiding conversations, leading proposals, closing new management agreements, and ensuring a seamless handoff into operations. Just as important, you’ll help shape Redstone’s reputation in the industry through credibility, consistency, and care.
What You’ll Do
Drive Strategic Growth
Partner with the Executive Team to define and execute Redstone’s third‑party growth strategy
Identify, pursue, and secure new management opportunities with owners, developers, universities, and institutional partners
Build and maintain a healthy, forward‑looking business development pipeline, tracking key opportunities and conversion metrics
Lead The Deal Process
Guide RFQ/RFP responses, proposal development, and client presentations
Negotiate management agreements that align with Redstone’s financial goals and long‑term vision
Own the closing process and support a smooth transition into onboarding
Build Trusted Relationships
Serve as a primary relationship owner for prospective and newly onboarded clients
Build and sustain strong industry relationships attending conferences, networking, and targeted outreach
Strengthen Redstone’s brand through authentic, high‑integrity engagement
Partner Internally
Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership
Ensure client expectations are aligned with operational excellence from day one
Act as a connector between growth strategy and execution
Think Ahead
Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities
Identify where Redstone can grow smarter, not just bigger
Bring ideas that strengthen our positioning and long‑term impact
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)
5+ years of progressive experience in business development, real‑estate, property management, or a comparable relationship‑driven B2B environment
Proven success in sales, acquiring clients, negotiating contracts, and driving revenue growth
Strong relationship‑building and client management skills grounded in trust, credibility, and follow‑through
Strategic mindset with the ability to think big while executing details
Confident, compelling communication—written, verbal, and in presentations
Comfort collaborating cross‑functionally and influencing at all levels
Alignment with Redstone’s purpose, values, and people‑first mindset
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience in student housing and/or multifamily property management, or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge
Familiarity with third‑party management agreements and portfolio growth
Financial acumen around pricing, margins, budgeting, forecasting, and deal economics

This role is based in a standard office environment with 50–75% travel for client meetings, site/market visits, and industry conferences. Overnight travel is expected, including attendance at company leadership events and summits.
