
ANR - Instructional Designer - DCPH-A

Responsibilities
Select or advise in the selection of a technical method and technical components for delivering various types of training content.
Define or participate in defining the target audience; conduct need assessments and perform assessment analyses and task analyses and determine training requirements.
Utilize the home‑grown SharePoint site to manage trainings and registrations.
Supervise implementation of the selected delivery methods.
Develop curriculum, including learning objectives, create course blueprints, and supervise the creation of content.
Oversee the development of courseware, including lesson plans, student guides, instructor guides, user manuals, and tests.
Evaluate and validate instructional materials.
Perform trainings remotely (or on‑site as needed).
Collect relevant class data and provide a monthly update with those metrics.
Develop, maintain, and administer tip sheets and SharePoint sites for the Center to educate and provide step‑by‑step guides on how to utilize various types of software.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert for testing and developing documentation to support various software initiatives that are usually new to the Center, often resulting in creating detailed SharePoint sites, tip sheets, and offering training classes on how to use the software.
Minimum Candidate Requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Candidate must have an active DOD Secret Clearance.
Candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience with:
Serving in a training role which required developing the curriculum and all associated training materials and then training the class in both a remote and in‑person environment.
Basic SharePoint skills to maintain and develop sites that are list based (not requiring workflows).
In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft products to include Office and Teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to problem‑solve and work independently.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Customer‑oriented and cool‑tempered.
Microsoft Certified Trainer and/or other certified trainer certificates.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing. Requires ability to interact professionally with co‑workers, management, and client. Occasional business travel may be required. Expenses will be covered only when requested and approved.
Other Essential Functions
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and exercise good judgment. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and not pose a safety risk or hazard.
