Responsibilities
Schematic Design and Design Development
Work with the lead interior designer in creating interior environments which serve the client’s goals and responds to their spatial needs, image and aesthetic requirements.
Develop code compliant designs.
Assist with the selection of appropriate finish materials and furnishings.
Assist with the development of presentation materials including 3D renderings.
Observe and participate in design presentations to the client.
Participate in the projects’ in-house design review presentations.
Coordinate work with other disciplines.
Construction Documents
Assist in the execution and enhancement of the design intent while preparing the construction documents.
Work with architecture and the engineering disciplines to ensure a consistent development of the project towards the design concepts established in earlier phases.
Assist in the development of project and furniture specifications and other technical requirements of projects.
Prepare finish and furniture boards and record binders.
Construction Administration
Assist with submittal responses, shop drawing review and construction site visits.
Assist with interiors and furniture punch lists.
Marketing
Assist market segment leaders and the marketing department in the preparation of design documents and presentation materials.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
1-4 years' of experience
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino)
Excellent conceptual skills and understanding of interior architecture
Understanding of color theory and its practical application
Understanding of interior architectural detailing
Understanding of finish materials and their application
