Business Relationship Manager II (Business Banking)
As a Business Relationship Manager II (BRM) in Business Banking, you’ll be helping to improve the lives of our clients and the well‑being of their businesses through financial solutions, education, and advice.
You will manage a portfolio of new and existing business clients, building relationships and providing financial advice with a focus on client experience and risk management.
Responsibilities
Acquire, manage, and retain a portfolio of 70–90 business clients with annual revenue of $1–$5 million for your assigned branches; provide business deposit and cash management solutions and manage business credit opportunities up to approximately $1.5 million.
Deliver an outstanding experience to Chase business clients by providing comprehensive and customized business banking solutions tailored to their financial needs and circumstances.
Use knowledge of business, finance, banking, credit, and risk management to identify, recommend, and promote solutions that best serve the client and ensure the profitability of the portfolio.
Conduct in‑person calls with prospects, centers of influence, and existing clients at their places of business.
Follow a disciplined relationship development process by identifying steps and strategies to maintain and build relationships; review processes with your manager and adjust as needed.
Identify and pursue potential new business clients, cultivating long‑term primary banking relationships.
Determine business clients’ personal financial goals and needs; collaborate with partners across lines of business—Chase Wealth Management, Home Lending, and Branch Teams—to connect clients with specialists who can meet those needs.
Provide leadership by actively supporting assigned branches and protecting the firm through sound risk‑management protocols and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Minimum of 3 years in a Business Banking Relationship Management role or related lending experience.
General business experience and knowledge of business credit and core banking products, with understanding of how business needs vary by industry and market.
Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally, and the ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners.
Ability to balance client needs with associated risks and firm interests, recognizing when to elevate or handle issues independently.
Demonstrated ability to set daily priorities, achieve business objectives, and follow through on commitments.
Highly proficient in MS Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Strong current business network.
