Job Overview
As a Track Vehicle Repairer, you will maintain track vehicles for the Army National Guard, focusing on diesel power plants, fuel systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
Responsibilities
Repair diesel power plants/packs, compression ignition engine fuel systems and air induction systems
Fix vehicle air cooling and liquid cooling systems, track hull electrical systems, and automatic transmission assemblies
Service track vehicle cross‑drive transmissions, transfer assemblies, and hydraulic brakes
Supervise fuel and electrical system repair activities
Expand mechanical skills on motorized track vehicle components such as carburetors, transmissions, diesel power plants, and electrical systems
Skills Developed
Engine repair and tune‑up/replacement
Body repair and panel replacement
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems
Earn While You Learn
While receiving 10 weeks of Basic Training followed by 13 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, you will learn these skills and earn a regular paycheck, qualifying for tuition assistance.
