for a highly regarded, global law firm for their
NYC, Miami, or DC office.
Location : NYC, Miami, or D.C -hybrid schedule of 2-3 days/week in-office OR fully remote near the office
Rate:
35-50/hr (W2) - Based on experience and location

This role plays a central part in supporting content development and digital communications, with a strong emphasis on writing, editing, and publishing content across the firm’s website, social media platforms, and external channels. The coordinator will also support media relations, thought leadership promotion, awards and rankings submissions, and reporting/trackers, while helping to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness across all communications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Draft, edit, and proofread high-quality content for a variety of platforms, including:
Website news and thought leadership
Social media posts
Press releases and media materials
Award submissions and directory entries
Articles, client alerts, and external communications
Review and update website and social media content, ensuring brand consistency and timely promotion of firm news, deals, matters, accolades, media mentions, and attorney insights.
Support media relations efforts by:
Monitoring and tracking firmwide media coverage daily
Maintaining and updating the media tracker
Assisting with media inquiries, interview coordination, and reporter research
Building and maintaining targeted media lists
Assist in the promotion of firm matters and deals, including coordinating with attorneys and business development teams to draft and publish related content.
Support the planning and execution of PR and communications campaigns, including thought leadership and byline placements.
Maintain key trackers and reports, including media coverage, editorial calendar, rankings and accolades, and reprints.
Assist with awards submissions by coordinating inputs, tracking deadlines, drafting/editing content, and formatting submissions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1 – 3+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or marketing required, preferably within a professional services or legal environment.
Demonstrated experience writing and editing content for digital and external audiences required.
Must live within commutable distance to the firm office with ability to work a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days/week in-office or fully remote.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with lawyers and cross-functional teams.
Experience managing or posting content to websites and social media platforms.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
