We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the delivery of marketing activity across Assembly Festival and Edinburgh Food & Folk Festival.
This is a varied, fast‑paced role providing administrative and operational support across both traditional and digital marketing functions. You’ll work closely with Marketing Managers, Digital and Social teams to ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
The role is ideal for someone looking to gain broad experience across marketing in a live festival environment.
What you’ll do
Provide administrative support across the Marketing & Communications team
Assist with campaign planning and delivery across traditional and digital channels
Support coordination of marketing assets and materials
Manage internal trackers, schedules and documentation
Assist with website and content updates where required
Support email marketing setup and schedulingSupport with content creation and scheduling
Coordinate print and distribution logistics
Support reporting processes including data gathering and formatting
Act as a central support resource across Marketing, Digital and Social teams
What we’re looking for
Strong organisational and administrative skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Good communication and team‑working skills
Confidence working across different systems and platforms
Ability to work at pace in a live environment
Interest in marketing, events or live performance
Success in role
Reliable and efficient support across all marketing functions
Well‑organised and up‑to‑date tracking and documentation
Smooth coordination of campaign materials and activity
Strong contribution to overall team delivery during peak periods

Contract Period: July – August 2026
Contract Type: PAYE
48 hours over 6 days per week
Office‑based in central Edinburgh
Evening and weekend work required
Pay: £107.5/day up to 6 days per week during delivery period
