Basic Functions
The Account Manager will maintain and develop new relationships in Direct Air Capture (DAC) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) upgrading. They will represent NGK at industry coalitions and lobby groups for DAC and RNG, provide technical support to product development teams worldwide, and liaise with customers and partners.
Essential Functions
Researchri and report on the performance of company technologies and competing technologies within the customer base.
Increase the customer portfolio by promoting technologies to new customers.
Aid in the development and application of products to fulfill customer needs.
Confide with existing and prospective customers and assess customer needs.
Promote and implement technical products and services into customer development and production programs.
Provide product functionality and capability reports and act as technical liaison internally and externally.
Communicate with customers on commercial and technical aspects.
Communicate internally with global offices, including Europe and Japan.
Lead responsibility:
Create budget files twice a year with team concurrence.
Monitor sales and delivery figures related to the budget.
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and handle changes with customers.
Maintain and grow the customer database by formulating business strategies and tactics.
Resolve quality assurance issues and diagnose technical problems related to products.
Understand the technical intricacies of associated products to position, present, and apply them based on customer needs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and objectives.
Monitor market trends and recommend business strategies.
Monitor competitor performance and recommend product/technology and commercial development strategies.
Support industry and market information for the product development gate process to support product launches.
Participate in conferences (exhibiting, presenting, attending) to gather strategic market insights.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences. Additional Business Administration degree is a plus.
Experience:
5-10 years in Product / Application Engineering with some or all in Business Development / Program Management.
Preferred sectors:
Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Carbon Capture, Intermediate Chemicals.
Skills / Aptitude:
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Experience with emissions ceramics products, coercer and canner preferred.
Self‑starter able to work in multi‑cultural environments.
Strong customer interface and negotiation skills.
Ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, computer literate.
Work Environment
Office environment. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines. Domestic and international travel is required. Frequent conference calls with Japanese and European colleagues.
