Content Creator
Selfmoneycare, Portland, OR, United States
Position Summary
We're looking for a creative executor and visual thinker to join our global content team. As Content Creator, you'll work directly with content leadership to bring brand stories to life across social, web, editorial, podcast, thought leadership and other channels. You'll own the hands‑on production side of our content system — from shoot planning and capture to editing, formatting, and publishing — while helping maintain and evolve the visual frameworks that keep content consistent and compelling across our global studios.
This is a role for someone who moves fluidly between creative and operational, takes pride in individual executions as much as the strategy behind them.
This is a hybrid role based in Portland, OR.
What You’ll Do
Translate content strategy into polished, on‑brand executions across social, web, and marketing channels
Plan and execute shoots — both in‑studio and in the field — including capturing photo and video assets
Edit and format content across formats: video, static, motion, and copy‑light layouts
Create micro‑content and platform‑native assets from longer‑form source material for distribution across LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
Support agency podcast production with editing, publishing, and social and visual content needs
Own curation and upkeep of visual frameworks, brand system documents, and asset libraries
Collaborate with regional studio teams, subject matter experts, and external partners on content packaging and distribution
Record, mix, and edit audio including voice‑overs, music, and sound design as needed
Apply standard motion graphics and basic color grading to video productions
Pitch and experiment with new content concepts and formats
What You Bring
2–4 years of experience in content production, art direction, or a related creative role — agency background a plus
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite & Video Editing platforms
Ability to shoot and self‑direct at a professional level — photo and video, on industry‑standard camera, audio & lighting equipment
Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
A working understanding of social platforms and how content performs across them
General marketing literacy — you understand why content exists, not just what it looks like
Clear communicator who can work across time zones and with a range of stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment
Nice to Have
Experience working within or alongside a global, multi‑studio organization
Familiarity with podcast workflow and distribution platforms
Motion design or animation beyond basic templates
Photography or video experience in an experiential, events, or brand marketing context
Degree from a design program or 4‑year university is preferred but not required
Qualifications
2–4 years of hands‑on content production experience in an agency, brand, or independent creative environment — a strong portfolio demonstrating range and craft matters more than a specific degree or credential
Occasional travel may be required — locally, nationally, and/or internationally
PHYSICAL ASPECTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
