Our client is a respected local firm providing civil engineering, land surveying, and site development services throughout New Hampshire. Their surveying team plays a critical role in delivering accurate, high-quality work that supports both private development and public infrastructure projects. The firm is based in Bedford, New Hampshire. Position Overview
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter with at least 2 years of experience to support the land surveying department. This role focuses on the preparation of survey plans and processing of field data, with opportunities to contribute to a wide range of projects including boundary surveys, subdivisions, and topographic mapping throughout southern New Hampshire. Key Responsibilities
Prepare boundary, existing conditions, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, and topographic survey plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D Process and draft survey field data, including total station and GPS data Assist in the preparation of subdivision and ANR plans Draft plot plans, easements, and legal exhibits (including metes and bounds descriptions) Work closely with field crews and licensed land surveyors to ensure accuracy and completeness of plans Maintain CAD standards, layering, and file organization for survey deliverables Revise plans based on redlines and quality control reviews Qualifications
Associate's degree or technical training in drafting, surveying technology, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in land surveying Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D strongly preferred Familiarity with survey coordinate systems, contours, and boundary linework Experience with survey data processing (Trimble, Carlson, or similar software) is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret field notes and records Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines Strong communication and teamwork skills What Our Client Offers
