Job Summary
We are seeking a Lilly Gastroenterology Specialty Territory Manager to perform account-based selling to healthcare providers who prescribe and influence treatment for ulcerative colitis. The role focuses on building relationships with key customers, increasing adoption of Lilly’s new and existing therapies, and developing relationships with advocacy groups, teaching institutions, and managed care organizations.

Territory Management

Develop a strong understanding of the territory and reimbursement landscape, using business insights tools to analyze and adapt to business needs.

Account Management

Systematically navigate the changing healthcare environment to understand accounts and impact key stakeholders, becoming a trusted partner.

Dialogue Agility

Actively listen and adapt to verbal and non‑verbal customer prompts throughout the call.

Medical Integrity

Demonstrate high learning agility to understand clinical information, our product portfolio, and the therapeutic marketplace.

Use this information to engage with every member of an office/account.

Selling Skills

Promote the entire product portfolio by planning for and engaging in a patient‑centered dialogue with customers.

Utilize our selling model prior to and during conversations to help customers identify appropriate patients.

Execution / Results

Utilize business analytic resources to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals while acting consistently with all internal policies and procedures and PhRMA code.

Collaborate effectively with field‑facing and internal peers to create a coordinated and positive customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Professional certification or license required to perform the position if required by a specific state.

Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Lilly does not sponsor work authorization or visas for this role.

Additional Skills / Preferences

Two or more years of sales experience (pharmaceutical or non‑pharmaceutical) after completing an undergraduate college degree.

Other work experience following the completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Demonstrated business ownership, selling/customer experience, and execution/results skills.

Account‑based selling experience and ability to engage staff members in accounts.

Strong background navigating within complex integrated health systems.

Extensive experience or thorough understanding of specialty pharmacy distribution model.

Experience selling injectable/infusion molecules in a complex reimbursement environment.

History of working with multiple cross‑functional partners.

Strong learning agility, self‑motivated, team‑focused, emotionally intelligent, and influential.

Must live within 30 miles of the territory boundary.

Compensation & Benefits
Actual compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $87,000 – $159,500 per year. Full‑time employees may also be eligible for a company bonus based on company and individual performance.
