
Diabetes Sales Specialist - Indianapolis East

Primary Responsibilities
Meeting or exceeding sales quotas for Abbott Diabetes Care products.
Collaborating with managed care, retail, and point-of-care representatives.
Establishing strong relationships with healthcare constituents such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and clinical diabetes educators.
Keeping current on internal and competitive products and positioning.
Effectively planning, tracking, and reporting short- and long‑term sales results.
Engaging in sales‑focused activities: conveying information clearly, listening to providers and patients, positioning products, handling objections, and adapting approach to meet customer needs.
Maintaining accountability for samples and compliance with quality guidelines.
Completing administrative tasks such as call reporting and documentation.
Working within corporate and division policies and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2–4 years of sales experience with a commendable track record, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Excellent communication skills, high energy, integrity, and ambition to succeed.
Preferred:
4+ years of relevant experience.
Diabetes clinical knowledge and experience calling on endocrinologists.
The base pay for this position is $68,000.00 – $136,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary.
