Job Description
The role involves operating light‑duty bench‑ or floor‑type machine tools such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears, or saws. The employee may set up machining machines, make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines. Work is measured against prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to ensure close tolerances. Some machines may be numerically controlled. The employee may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of additional education and/or related experience; or apprentice graduate/Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline plus 3 years of related experience.
Certification may be required.
