Job Summary This position plays a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day operations of the Coles College of Business. It is responsible for college operations, including accreditation, budget, facilities, external affairs, and technology. The role oversees partnerships and alliances to enhance branding and awareness of the college, facilitates high‑level administrative processes between the college and the Office of Academic Affairs, and assists the dean in ensuring productivity and adherence to strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Establish and manage budgets in compliance with university policy and procedures. Strategically align various sources with priorities and the strategic plan. Manage spending, monitor and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Provide oversight and management of facilities related to the college, including building maintenance, space allocation and usage, and capital projects. Problem‑solve and address issues in support of effective and efficient college operations.
Oversee accreditation processes related to AACSB and SACS (budgets, data collection, facilities, technology, compliance, coordination).
Facilitate key strategic alliances and partnerships in the external community for the college.
Facilitate partnership marketing and external relations with the communications team.
Develop strategies to increase alumni engagement with events and programs.
Partner with the Alumni Association to support, identify, and cultivate alumni involvement.
Manage college IT operations, including staff and faculty support for technology needs within the college.
Partner with UITS to identify and promote operational efficiencies in technology needs for the college.
Responsible for the management of assigned staff such as performance management, hiring, training, and time management.
Facilitate high‑level administrative processes between Academic Affairs and other campus stakeholders.
Identify potential risks (financial, facilities) and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with all University, BOR, and USG policies, rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Other Required Qualifications: Current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
Required Experience: Ten (10) years of relevant work experience, including supervisory and budget management experience.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications: Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in Business Administration.
Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is $145,900 to $157,580, based on relevant experience. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, 13 paid holidays, vacation, generous retirement plans, tuition waiver, wellness options and additional perks.
