Marketing Events Specialist

Job Summary
The Event Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and implementing marketing projects and materials to support the experiential marketing team. The role supports Event Leads on events of varying size and scope, providing technical demo support (audio‑video needs, equipment guidance, and testing), inbound/outbound logistics for tradeshows and events, and adherence to internal processes and guidelines. The position also requires the ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing 25‑50 lbs. Additional responsibilities include warehouse organization, project management, agency/vendor coordination, and cross‑functional collaboration within marketing and other Qualcomm departments.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

BA or BS degree in marketing or business or 3–5 years industry experience.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving commercial electronics, power‑related problems, and network connectivity/configuration.

Demonstrate attention to detail to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues before they occur.

Research, procure, install and test hardware (backdrops, signage, and products) for tradeshows and events.

Collaborate with team members, internal stakeholders and vendors on the planning and execution of events.

Support event leads on larger, more complex projects within a team environment (pre‑planning and/or onsite).

Oversee all aspects of technical and logistical support for event functions, ready to step into any role as needed due to client requests or changes in event conditions.

Provide regular communication with project teams.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to meet and exceed internal stakeholder expectations.

Ability to provide organized, meaningful solutions under time‑sensitive conditions.

Requires excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Pay Range and Compensation
$33.56 – $50.34. This pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, salary range for this position at the specified location. Salary is one component of total compensation. Qualcomm also offers a competitive annual discretionary bonus program, potential annual RSU grants (for employees on sales‑incentive plans, not eligible for the annual bonus), and a highly competitive benefits package to support success at work, home, and play.
