Sr. Product Designer, Revenue
Tinder, San Francisco, CA, United States
Overview
Launched in 2012, Tinder® revolutionized how people meet, growing from 1 match to one billion matches in just two years. This rapid growth demonstrates its ability to fulfill a fundamental human need: real connection. Today, the app has been downloaded over 630 million times, leading to over 97 billion matches, serving approximately 50 million users per month in 190 countries and 45+ languages. In 2024, Tinder won four Effie Awards for its first-ever global brand campaign, “It Starts with a Swipe”™
Our Values
Take the Lead
— We don’t ghost our work or each other. Just as users don’t leave their matches hanging, we don’t let each other down.
Move Fast
— We have a bias for action and urgency. Something that could be done tomorrow would be better if done today.
Better Together
— We keep connection at the heart of dating and at the heart of how we work. Just as our users are better when they connect with others, so are we when we collaborate.
Real Talk
— We say the hard thing the human way. We expect Team Tinder to behave with kindness and candor in our community.
Safety First
— We act with integrity, transparency, and consistency so people feel safe—whether they're swiping, matching, or working alongside us.
Spark Fun
— We have fun to unlock creativity, fuel innovation, and help us build better experiences for daters.
The Team or Role
The Revenue team is responsible for how Tinder grows and monetizes, including subscriptions, à la carte features, pricing, and moments that help users understand and access value.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will operate as a strategic individual contributor owning complex, high-impact problem spaces end to end. You will shape how monetization feels across the product to be intuitive, trustworthy, and genuinely valuable to users. This role sits at the intersection of growth, pricing, packaging, and user trust, with your work directly influencing both revenue and user perception. We are looking for designers who build, test, and ship ideas at speed. You will use AI-native workflows to move quickly from idea to something real, and you should be comfortable working close to code, contributing directly to it when needed.
What You’ll Do
Own product work end to end. Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, explore possibilities, and ship experiences that improve key metrics. Stay involved through launch and iteration, not just handoff.
Use AI as part of your creative process. Start early to clarify intent, explore directions, and pressure test ideas before committing to a path.
Validate ideas quickly through lightweight research and direct user feedback. Treat research as a way to build confidence and momentum.
Bring ideas to life rapidly using modern tools. Create high-fidelity prototypes and, when needed, work close to code to test and iterate on real interactions.
Collaborate with engineers to reduce friction between design and build. Focus on how things are made, not just how they look.
Design monetization experiences that feel simple, transparent, and valuable. Help users understand what they’re getting and why it matters.
Balance speed with quality. Know when to go deep, when to move fast, and how to deliver thoughtful experiences under real-world constraints.
Share what you learn. Contribute to team culture through critique, collaboration, and raising the bar for how we design and build.
You’ll Need
5 to 8+ years of product design experience with a track record of shipping high-impact work
Experience designing for growth, monetization, or marketplace products such as subscriptions or conversion funnels
Ability to independently lead ambiguous, complex problem spaces and drive them to execution
Strong systems thinking across flows, states, and edge cases
High level of craft across interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
Strong product instincts and design thinking, with the ability to generate and execute on bold ideas
Experience using AI tools to accelerate your workflow across exploration, prototyping, and iteration
Comfort working close to the code layer, with a solid understanding of front-end systems and constraints
A builder mindset with a bias toward making, testing, and shipping
Nice to Have
Experience contributing to production code, such as submitting pull requests or working directly in codebases
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, Swift, or Kotlin
Experience building high-fidelity prototypes that closely mirror production behavior
Experience designing AI-powered or highly personalized product experiences
Background in fintech, gaming, or other monetization-heavy domains
Who You Are
You don’t wait for perfect specs. You make things tangible quickly and iterate
You are comfortable getting your hands dirty, whether in design tools, prototypes, or code
You care about outcomes, not just artifacts
You push beyond incremental improvements and look for step changes in how things work
You raise the bar for the team through both your craft and your pace
As a full-time employee, you’ll enjoy
Unlimited PTO (with no waiting period), 10 annual Wellness Days
Time off to volunteer and charitable donations matching
Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage
100% 401(k) employer match up to 10%, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
