About the Role
The Strategic Account Associate (SAA) plays a critical role on Precision AQ’s Medical Communications Strategic Account Management team, supporting the growth and health of key accounts while learning how to build trusted client partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking, client interaction, and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast‑paced medical communications environment. As an SAA, you will deepen client relationships, help translate strategy into action, and contribute directly to business growth—while building the skills needed to progress into a Strategic Account Manager role. Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Relationship Management
Serve as day‑to‑day client contact on assigned accounts, in partnership with senior account leadership
Develop a strong understanding of clients’ business goals, challenges, and strategic priorities
Help translate client vision into actionable plans and high‑quality deliverables
Contribute to annual strategic and tactical plans, brand plans, and project‑level planning
Build trust with clients through strong communication, responsiveness, and strategic thinking
Proactively offer ideas and recommendations to improve brand performance and client engagement
Account & Business Management
Support scoping of work, development of budgets, and ongoing management of account finances
Monitor budgets and team efficiency to ensure work is delivered within scope; help flag when requests are out of scope
Assist with forecasting planned work and resources; flag risks or changes to leadership
Identify potential growth opportunities and new business ideas and share with the account team
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Execution
Partner with program management to develop project briefs and lead or support kickoff meetings
Coordinate internal teams to ensure alignment on strategy, timelines, and client expectations
Support quality of deliverables by reviewing for accuracy and readiness before client delivery, while collaborating with senior account team members on final approval
Help manage workload and prioritization to keep projects moving and self and team members billable
Participate in, and at times lead, client meetings, status calls, and planning calls with healthcare professionals
Flag team issues and provide details to support difficult conversations related to timelines, budgets, and feedback
Professional Development & Industry Awareness
Stay current on industry trends, scientific developments, and competitive landscapes relevant to clients
Continuously build strategic, financial, and client management skills
Act as a strong ambassador for Precision AQ internally and externally
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical communications, agency account management, strategic account support, or a related client‑facing role, OR an advanced doctoral‑level degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent)
Experience working directly with pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare clients
Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and contribute to strategic discussions
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including PowerPoint proficiency
Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting or managing budgets, forecasts, or account financials
Exposure to product strategy, publication planning, or integrated medical communications
Experience collaborating with a cross‑functional team and mentoring junior team members

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
