We’re seeking a
senior-level Piping Design Technician Specialist
to lead piping design quality and execution across complex industrial projects. This role serves as a
technical authority , ensuring designs are code-compliant, constructible, and aligned with project scope, schedule, and safety standards.
Pay: $52.00- $68.00 per hour DOE
What You’ll Do:
Lead piping design efforts or serve as QA/QC authority on projects
Review and guide 3D model-based designs (Revit/CADWorx)
Ensure compliance with piping codes, standards, and specifications
Coordinate across disciplines to resolve design and constructability challenges
Identify risks early and drive design improvements
Support estimating, scheduling, and change management
Mentor junior designers and support global workshare teams
What You Bring:
Associate’s degree
in CAD, Engineering Technology, or related field
12–15+ years of piping design/engineering experience in industrial environments
Strong knowledge of ASME, B31.3, and related piping codes
Experience with Revit and/or CADWorx Plant
Proven leadership or technical authority experience
Strong understanding of constructability, safety, and cost control
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Bonus:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing experience
Pipe stress coordination knowledge
Experience mentoring teams and supporting global projects
Familiarity with QA/QC, earned value, and change control processes
Location
Hybrid (2 days/week onsite) – must live within 50 miles of office
