Truss Designer / Sales (Confidential) – Sioux Falls, SD Area
A growing building components manufacturer is seeking a Truss Designer / Sales professional to support design and customer-facing responsibilities related to wood roof and floor trusses, along with engineered wood products.
This is a well-rounded role ideal for someone who can balance technical design work with customer interaction, while operating in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design wood roof and floor truss systems and assist with engineered wood product layouts
Interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and structural plans
Communicate directly with customers to support project needs and resolve issues
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timelines
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow from design through production
What We’re Looking For:
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Self-starter with the ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities
Solid problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships
Experience in the truss industry or broader construction environment is a plus
Exposure to truss design software (MiTek, Alpine, or similar) is a plus
