Position Overview
As the Admissions Coordinator, you will serve as the first point of contact for many residents and families transitioning into our care. This critical role requires a deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance, paired with an outgoing, warm personality and a passion for helping people feel confident and cared for. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Director and Leadership Team to ensure every admission is handled smoothly, professionally, and with a personal touch that reflects our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of the admission process from initial inquiry to resident intake
Guide families through insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and private pay options with clarity and expertise
Build strong relationships with hospitals, referral sources, and community partners
Collaborate with the Marketing Director to promote the facility and maintain census goals
Partner with the clinical and administrative team to ensure seamless transitions and a five-star first impression
Think creatively about "Day One" admissions experiences—from personalized welcomes to room readiness, orientation, and comfort-focused details
Maintain accurate records and support compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards
What We’re Looking For
Experience in long-term care admissions, case management, or healthcare navigation
In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance processes
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A warm, approachable, and enthusiastic personality
Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities
