
Communications Manager

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic communications that enhance brand awareness, engagement, and organizational impact. This role leads content creation, digital strategy, and external messaging while ensuring consistency across all communication channels. The Communications Manager also supports fundraising and stakeholder engagement through compelling storytelling and high-quality campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities Brand & Content Management
Manage day-to-day social media channels, editorial calendars, and content publishing.
Develop engaging content that increases brand awareness and audience engagement.
Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms.
Strategic Communications
Write, edit, and refine external communications including announcements, reports, and marketing materials.
Translate complex information into clear, compelling, audience-focused messaging.
Digital & Campaign Execution
Plan and execute multi-channel communication campaigns.
Monitor performance metrics and optimize strategies based on results.
Donor & Stakeholder Engagement
Support fundraising and stakeholder initiatives through targeted messaging and campaign materials.
Create impact-driven content such as success stories, reports, and engagement materials.
Reporting & Storytelling
Lead the development of annual or periodic impact reports.
Gather and synthesize data, outcomes, and stories to highlight organizational impact.
Partner with internal teams to align communications with organizational priorities.
Manage external vendors, agencies, and freelancers as needed.
Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related role.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience managing social media platforms and digital content strategies.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and brand consistency.
Experience with fundraising, nonprofit communications, or stakeholder engagement is a plus.
