This job assists in the implementation, development, and optimization of digital content initiatives as part of the digital content team within Marketing at Ochsner Health. Drafts, builds, and edits web content, blog posts, and social media posts—including short‑form social media videos—to achieve objectives; supports online content marketing development; collaborates with the creative media/video, digital content, marketing, and brand teams on creative ideas, design options, functionality, implementation, and content; assists in reviewing web data and search engine optimization (SEO) insights to inform decisions on content optimization and website enhancements; participates in the strategic planning process for clients; and assists with web writing and optimization projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, writing, digital media, or related field.

Work Experience

Required – Three years of experience in web management and content creation.

Preferred – Three years of experience in content creation for web, CMS, social media, and Google Analytics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Excellent English writing and editing/proofreading skills and knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.

Delivery of quality, clearly written copy that appeals to audiences, attracts customers, and boosts brand awareness.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay strong attention to detail to produce accurate, high‑quality work.

Ability to conduct thorough research on relevant topics, combining in‑person interviews with completed content outlines and online sources, to produce content for publication online.

Ability to translate complex medical language into consumer‑friendly terminology.

Working knowledge and hands‑on experience of online content management systems for website publishing and proficiency with computers and writing programs.

Social media posting, planning, and boosting for major social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Short‑form social media video creation and editing.

Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Sprout, Sprinklr, and Hootsuite.

Experience with SEO tools such as Moz, BrightEdge, and Semrush.

Experience with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Craft, and Contentful.

Experience optimizing for AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Gemini.

Strong interpersonal communication skills across multiple leadership levels and in‑person presentation skills.

Time‑management skills to complete tasks on deadline while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to have reliable transportation to travel throughout and between locations and occasionally out of town.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Job Duties

Supports the creation and management of website, blog, and social media content and projects for optimal user experience.

Drafts, updates, builds, proofreads, and edits web content, including online copy, creative assets, video, and content while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines.

Collaborates with brand, design, creative media/video, and marketing teams on creative ideas, design options, functionality, implementation, and content within brand guidelines and ensuring all‑around brand consistency.

Reviews web and SEO analytics reports and user behavior to gain knowledge of digital content strategy and editorial calendar; tracks return on investment (ROI); brings new ideas and trends to the team; and informs decisions on optimizations and website enhancements.

Participates in the strategic planning process for clients and assists with web writing projects, content optimizations, and content campaigns.

Assists with maintenance of engaging digital content for the brand.

Performs other related duties as required.
