Overview Oliver Wyman helps industry leaders in the technology/software and private equity industries develop value growth strategies, improve operations, and maximize organizational effectiveness.
Our CTT clients include wireless and wireline equipment and communications service providers, enterprise IT, consumer electronics, semiconductor companies, broadcasters, publishers, platform operators, online and entertainment companies, high‑tech, and software companies. We work collaboratively with our clients’ leaders, employees, stakeholders, and customers to jointly define, design, and achieve lasting results.
Oliver Wyman’s Private Equity team in North America is looking to hire consultants to support its rapid growth. The team works with private equity investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle: from opportunity identification through due diligence and post‑transaction value realization.
Our technology practice collaborates with clients to create sustainable shareholder value through anticipating value migration shifts, developing innovative business models and product/solution offerings, and improving operational excellence.
We are seeking individuals who also have experience with deep industry expertise to tackle disruption and create impact in the CTT industries. Our Consumer, Telco, and Technology team works globally to augment our clients’ expertise and capabilities.
Responsibilities
Providing day‑to‑day leadership of client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process within those relationships, teaming with Partners and shares responsibility for the success of a specific engagement(s)
Leading and managing complex programs to ensure on‑time delivery that meets agreed‑upon goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice, our own expertise and the firm’s technical competence
Guiding and influencing clients in an informed way across all situations including execution of the commercial process, becoming trusted advisors
Engaging fully in building business by identifying new and expanded opportunities
Creating exciting and additive intellectual capital through thought leadership, and being knowledgeable on a broad range of adjacent topics
Developing others and building a followership as part of their asset building for the firm
Leading firm building activities, seen as a role model for firm values with a strong personal brand within and outside of the firm and being well regarded by Partners, peers, and clients
Desired Skills and Experience
7+ years of experience in strategy consulting and/or CMT/TMT industry experience + Private Capital experience
Commercial Due Diligence expertise
Strong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skillsTrack record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast‑paced and demanding environments
Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives
Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
Willingness to travel (at least 50% of the time)
Benefits and Compensation The applicable base salary range for this role is
$250,000 to $260,000 .
In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
