Credit Union West is looking for a Community Impact Specialist (CIS) to serve as a liaison between the credit union and the communities we serve. The CIS will coordinate the organization’s financial education and wellness initiatives, support community outreach, and build strong relationships with educational and business partners.

Location
The position is based in Yavapai County and includes regular travel to Glendale, AZ (for training) and one day per week to Maricopa County for community events.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Creates and maintains financial education content for youth, adults, and underserved communities, works with external vendors, and delivers content at events and on digital channels.

Builds and sustains relationships within the education community, partners with vendors, businesses, and organizations to achieve department goals.

Represents the credit union at community and charitable events, business gatherings, and social events to develop partnerships, sponsorships, and membership growth.

Coordinates financial education efforts with the Employee Volunteer Program and maintains ongoing relationships with community partners.

Manages financial education calendar, records activities, and collaborates with Marketing on brochures, promotional materials, and content distribution.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience
1–3 years in finance, community impact, business development, or education and training within a financial institution; experience developing and presenting financial wellness education to diverse audiences; experience building professional partnerships with community and business leaders.

Language
Bilingual Spanish (preferred).

Additional Requirements
Lifting 30 pounds is required.

Knowledge of the credit union’s Employee Handbook and policies.

Functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and related federal laws (U.S. Patriot Act, OFAC, AML, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Bank Bribery Act).
