Energy Efficiency Lighting Trade Ally Manager II
to deliver energy efficiency program performance through targeted market engagement and outreach in Connecticut. This role coordinates with manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and internal teams to support participation in midstream lighting and market-facing programs.
The Energy Efficiency Lighting Trade Ally Manager II evaluates market feedback and participation data to prioritize outreach, ensure consistent program execution, and address participation barriers. The role validates program requirements and clearly communicates policies and processes to support accurate, compliant, and impactful participation.
Responsibilities
Delivers consistent outreach and account management activities to assigned trade allies, including manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and other market actors, to support program participation
Communicates policies and practices related to program requirements, incentive structures, timelines, and submission processes using approved tools and channels (e.g., email, CRM, virtual meetings, and in-person engagements)
Coordinates onboarding and ongoing engagement activities with trade allies, including training on incentive submission processes and portal usage
Collaborates with internal program teams to align outreach activities with program goals, schedules, and performance targets
Prioritizes outreach and engagement efforts based on program needs, participation trends, and account-level performance expectations
Troubleshoots moderate problems related to incentive submissions, documentation gaps, program rule interpretation, or participation challenges, escalating complex or high-risk issues as appropriate
Validates trade ally submissions, reported activity, and supporting documentation to ensure alignment with program requirements and quality standards
Evaluates recurring issues or participation barriers and collaborates with program teams to recommend adjustments to outreach tactics or guidance materials
Evaluates program participation data, dashboards, and CRM records to identify outreach gaps and support prioritization decisions
Validates accuracy and completeness of trade ally interaction records maintained in CRM tools
Communicates policies and practices updates internally and externally to ensure shared understanding of program changes and expectations
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or 4 years of equivalent experience
3 years of professional experience in energy efficiency programs, supply chain engagement, outreach, sales support, or market-facing roles
Experience coordinating with external partners and internal program teams in a structured, process-driven environment
Ability to evaluate program participation data and prioritize outreach activities accordingly
Experience validating documentation and troubleshooting moderate participation or process issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communicating program policies and practices clearly
Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office productivity tools
Regular local travel within Connecticut for outreach activities (1-2 days per week)
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $92,000 with a target compensation of $79,000 - $87,400 based on experience and qualifications. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
