Amazon Studios is seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated Junior Development Executive to work with the Worldbuilding Development team. This role will provide coverage and feedback to creatives within the department and react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround. The successful candidate will efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the group or other related groups, show great attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines, and have excellent organization skills and the ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice.
Key Job Responsibilities
Evaluate the quality of scripts and offer creative feedback
Track writers and directors
Seek out and assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches
Work with writers to develop stories and scripts
Support all creative aspects of development, production and post‑production
Serve as a liaison between the Drama department and all other departments including Casting, Production, Marketing, Press, Research, Business and Legal Affairs
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of the television and media industry
Experience overseeing all creative aspects of development, production and post‑production
Experience working with other departments such as casting, production, research, PR, business and legal affairs
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of successful series development and/or current programming experience
Preferred Qualifications
A strong desire to innovate
Strong knowledge of entertainment industry trends and players
Positive, proactive and consistently exercise great judgment
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
Creative problem‑solver
Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills
Strong story skills
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Benefits & Compensation
Salary range: 111,700.00 – 160,000.00 USD annually. The Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications and location.
