Overview
Program Executive – Senior Director (Consumer Goods) is a senior program management role leading a team of program/project managers responsible for delivery for large, enterprise-level customers. The role requires hiring, building, and developing high-performing teams, delivering high-quality customer engagements, and securing favorable CSAT and business outcomes. The leader collaborates with other executives to ensure consistent delivery practices and drives strategic delivery initiatives with executive engagement and accountability.
Your Impact
Lead programs by aligning scope and release planning, and aligning multiple teams with vision and business goals; establish program structure and secure cross-functional alignment.
Guide software engineering delivery using Agile methodologies and apply strong analytical and technical skills.
Lead stakeholder meetings to support key decisions, remove obstacles, and ensure business goals and the program’s strategic vision are met.
Develop strong partnerships with key functional stakeholders to drive business focus; act as a trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success.
Partner with cross-functional teams to drive workgroup alignment on tactical release issues, dependencies, status, metrics, and milestones.
Provide visibility to program status through ongoing reporting to stakeholders and team members.
Manage program/feature dependencies across multiple teams and functions.
Anticipate and remove obstacles to maintain momentum and delivery progress.
Provide monthly program reviews and updates at sprint reviews, including risks and escalations.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, learning, and innovation.
Act as a catalyst to advance Product & Technology strategy globally and drive change with stakeholders across client organizations.
Responsibilities
Fully allocated to a single high-stakes transformation program or a small number of strategic accounts.
Maintain a high utilization target; operate as a deeply embedded practitioner.
Own the end-to-end program P&L, executive client relationships, steering committees, and delivery governance.
Serve as the senior point of escalation and provide executive air cover for delivery teams.
Bring strategic and tactical enterprise software project delivery experience to Salesforce clients.
Provide senior-level consulting to client business and technology executives as a trusted advisor.
Build strong executive-client relationships to influence delivery direction and resolve key issues; manage client escalations through experience and trust-building.
Align multi-cloud delivery best practices, resourcing, team structure, knowledge, and assets.
Oversee and mentor project leadership and practitioners.
Support delivery assurance and the dissemination of Salesforce delivery standards and practices across programs.
Provide feedback, coaching, and training recommendations for project managers; ensure consistent delivery methodologies across programs.
Define and manage program governance and controls.
Allocate and track budget and resources across the program.
Align organizational direction with program goals and objectives.
Create and lead project plans; monitor progress and timelines; adjust schedules as needed and resolve issues to ensure success.
Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of large-scale programs with proper governance during execution.
Track resource utilization against prioritization and budget; manage timesheet approvals.
Lead project implementations; assist with planning, tracking, documentation, and status updates.
Lead scope changes and ensure delivery within time and budget.
Experience managing enterprise-level programs with 50+ person teams, multiple delivery workstreams, and complex integrations.
Demonstrate strong program leadership, business insight, and analytical skills.
Identify opportunities to demonstrate Salesforce technologies.
Participate in end-to-end implementation planning, including program management, issue management, and organizational change.
Leverage business knowledge to drive process improvements.
Conduct difficult budget, resource, and timeline discussions and document outcomes.
Be accountable for all project deliverables and review results before client submission.
Identify, manage, and mitigate program risk.
Minimum Required Qualifications & Skills
15+ years of program management experience, with 5+ years leading multiple work streams, in enterprise-scale CRM projects in Consumer Goods.
10+ years of experience in management consulting or consulting services.
SFDC experience is not required, but parallel implementation experience is required.
Proven project leadership skills with responsibility for running project teams, budgeting, and scheduling against contracts.
Experience leading internal and external project customers, negotiation, conflict management, issues, executive communication, and leadership.
Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence; able to work with remote teams across non-traditional hours.
Ability to lead enterprise-wide engagements, facilitate client executive meetings, mentor teams, and manage dependencies and requirements to produce plans and estimates.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment.
Capability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Agile SCRUM Master Certification.
PMP Certification.
Salesforce certifications (Admin, Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.) preferred.
