Marketing Copywriter
Fundermax North America, Charlotte, NC, United States
Fundermax North America is a growing global manufacturing company with our international headquarters in Austria and our North American headquarters in Charlotte, NC. We’re a phenolic architectural panel manufacturer focused on creating sustainable building materials without sacrificing design, serving architects, installers, and building owners across the continent.
The Role
This is a
writing-focused role . While this position touches multiple marketing channels, the core of the job is
writing
- blog articles, email campaigns, newsletters, brochures, and long-form content. If writing is your strongest skill and your favorite part of the job, keep reading.
We’re looking for someone who’s already built a professional foundation in content marketing and is ready to apply that experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll own a wide range of content marketing initiatives across multiple channels. This role is heavily focused on writing and content creation, with some design work in Canva for social posts and email marketing. You should be equally comfortable writing a 1,500-word technical blog post and crafting a punchy social caption.
Our product has a real learning curve - and that’s part of the appeal. If you’re the type of person who gets energized by learning something new, diving deep into a technical industry, and becoming the go-to expert on what we do, you’ll love it here.
What You Will Do
Write compelling copy across multiple marketing channels, including blog articles, email campaigns, newsletters, social media, digital and print ads, brochures, and lead generation offers
Research, outline, and interview subject matter experts to produce high-quality blog content on a regular publishing cadence
Create monthly and quarterly newsletters for each of our three market sectors, as well as internal company newsletters
Create and manage first-party and third-party social media posts on a weekly and monthly basis across Facebook and LinkedIn
Plan, write, and launch outbound email marketing campaigns
Execute guided strategic SEO tactics, conduct keyword research, and contribute to on-site and off-site SEO efforts - including emerging strategies like AEO and GEO - to grow organic traffic and improve visibility across traditional and AI-driven search platforms
Manage content workflows within our CRM platform (uploading contacts, mass email personalization strategies, bi-annual email list cleaning, etc.)
Conduct quarterly competitive analysis and research advertising trends to inform content strategy
Brainstorm and pitch content marketing ideas, strategies, and initiatives that support company growth
Assist with additional marketing tasks as assigned, including ad copywriting, content ideation, outbound email outreach content, trade show supporting collateral, and website updates.
Who Thrives in This Role
This position plays a vital role in our growth. Here are some highlights of the type of person and background we believe would thrive:
You have a minimum of 2 years of professional content marketing or content experience. Internships and college coursework do not count toward this requirement - we need someone who’s been in the professional world and has the working habits to show for it
You hold a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
You’re passionate about writing, spelling, and grammar. If there’s an undotted 'i' or a misplaced comma, you’ll find it - and it’ll bother you until it’s fixed
You’re comfortable producing both short-form and long-form content across multiple formats - blog, email, social, and print
You communicate effectively, respond to emails promptly, and develop strong working relationships with colleagues across departments
You work well independently and with a team, and you don’t need close oversight to manage your priorities and meet deadlines
You’re comfortable receiving and adapting to feedback - you see it as a tool for growth, not a critique
You have strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
You’re comfortable working with a technical product and translating complex information into accessible, engaging content
You’re a self-starter who is curious, reliable, and genuinely motivated to learn a new industry
You’re comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows, while maintaining full ownership of all content - you are the expert, AI is the assistant. If every tool went offline tomorrow, you’d still be confident in your ability to do the job at a high level
You have foundational knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and emerging search optimization strategies (including AEO and GEO), with an eagerness to grow organic traffic and improve visibility across both traditional and AI-driven search platforms
Nice to Have
Experience with SEO and SEM tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz, or equivalent
Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Marketo
Experience with WordPress and/or basic HTML/CSS
Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google My Business
Professional experience managing organic and/or paid social media campaigns
Experience with project management tools (Asana, Monday, Trello, or equivalent)
Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools for social and email assets
Experience in B2B, manufacturing, architecture, or construction industries
What We Offer
Salary range: $55,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience
Bonus opportunity
Employer-paid health insurance for individual employees (discounted family plans available), plus affordable dental and vision options
401(k) retirement plan with company match
HSA with employer contribution
Paid time off and paid holidays
Opportunity to attend marketing industry conferences and educational events (such as HubSpot’s UNBOUND)
Potential to visit our global headquarters in Austria
A workplace we actually enjoy coming to - monthly office lunches, quarterly team-building activities, Smoothie Fridays, catered birthday lunches, and a fully stocked snack and drink bar, and more!
