Junior Copywriter

The Junior Copywriter supports the development of clear, compelling, and brand-aligned copy across AVARA’s consumer touchpoints. Working closely with the creative, marketing, and e-commerce teams, this role helps bring the AVARA brand voice to life through product descriptions, website content, and other digital messaging.

This position is ideal for a developing writer who is passionate about fashion and eager to grow their skills in

e-commerce, SEO, and brand storytelling . The Junior Copywriter will focus on executing day-to-day copy needs while learning how to apply AVARA’s confident, warm, and stylish tone across channels.

Key Responsibilities Supports Product & E-Commerce Copy Write clear, engaging product descriptions that highlight fit, fabric, and design details while maintaining AVARA’s brand voice. Sits in on product fittings with the Merch and Product team. Assists in updating and maintaining product copy across the e-commerce site.

Creates Website & SEO Content Develop supporting website copy including collection pages, blog, landing pages, and informational content. Apply basic SEO principles such as keywords, meta descriptions, and headers to support organic search performance.

Assists with Cross-Channel Messaging Support copy needs for emails, digital campaigns, and other marketing initiatives as directed by the creative and marketing teams as needed.

Maintains Brand Voice Consistency Ensure all written content reflects AVARA’s tone: confident, warm, and stylish. Follow established brand voice guidelines and support consistency across channels.

Edits and Proofreads Copy Review copy for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards before publication.

Collaborates with Cross-Functional Teams Work closely with creative, merchandising, and e-commerce teams to ensure product information and messaging are accurate and aligned with seasonal priorities.

Leverages AI Tools to Enhance Content Creation Utilize AI-assisted writing tools to support ideation, generate draft variations, and optimize copy for SEO while maintaining brand voice and originality. Apply critical thinking and editorial judgment to refine and humanize AI-generated content.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in

Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field

(or equivalent experience)

0–2 years of writing, copywriting, or content experience (internships welcome)

Experience with e-commerce and/or product copywriting required

Proficiency with production tools and platforms: Google Workspace, Excel, Dropbox, Adobe Bridge, Figma, and Asana
