E-Commerce Communications Manager, US

Responsibilities About the Team: This role sits within our global e-commerce communications team and will work closely with the TikTok Shop business operations teams to seek out and build compelling media campaigns. You will be critical to TikTok Shop’s expansion, building powerful narratives that showcase the business impact we’re creating for American brands and businesses, devising creative and strategic B2B and B2C campaigns.

Manage TikTok Shop communications efforts across the US market and serve as the primary communications point of contact for operations and business teams.

Craft bold, clear narratives that advance TikTok Shop’s ambitious 2026 business goals—particularly stories that demonstrate our value to sellers, small businesses, and creators.

Drive compelling storytelling and secure high‑impact media coverage positioning TikTok Shop as the platform of choice for merchants and brands in our key verticals of beauty, fashion, food, home, lifestyle and personal care.

Build and leverage deep relationships with top‑tier national consumer, business, tech, trade, and retail media, proactively securing strategic coverage and managing the news agenda around TikTok Shop.

Act as a newshound—stay ahead of media trends, industry developments, and cultural moments to identify opportunities and advise leadership on risks and opportunities.

Train and coach executives and subject‑matter experts, preparing them for media interviews, industry conferences, and public appearances.

Manage news cycles and issues with composure, strategic thinking, and cross‑team collaboration.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.

PR/Communications experience with consumer‑facing brands, with proven B2B communications expertise.

Deep expertise in the US media landscape with strong, established relationships across national consumer, business, tech, trade, and retail media.

Exceptional storytelling ability—translating business impact into compelling narratives that resonate with commercial decision makers, merchants, sellers, and industry audiences.

A natural relationship‑builder who can work effectively with stakeholders internally and command respect externally.

Proven ability to thrive under ambiguity, juggle multiple priorities, and execute with excellence in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.

Self‑starter with drive, positive energy, and a team‑first mentality.

Preferred Qualifications

Crisis and issues management experience—you keep your cool when the heat is on.

Strong understanding of e‑commerce, retail, or marketplace businesses with knowledge of US merchant and seller ecosystem.

Track record working in high‑growth, cross‑border technology companies.

Strong project management skills with ability to drive initiatives independently while collaborating across a matrixed organization.

Experience working with executives in large, dynamic organizations.

Passion for social media, creator economy, small business growth, and the future of commerce.

Job Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $121,600 - $220,400 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
