Overview

The Main Clubhouse Director oversees daily operations of the K-5 programs at the Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County. This role ensures safe, engaging, and high-quality programs that promote youth development, academic success, and positive behavior. The Director leads a team of staff and volunteers, manages program delivery and safety, and fosters strong relationships with members, families, and the community.
Responsibilities

Lead, train, and supervise K-5 staff and volunteers to ensure excellent program quality.
Actively engage with youth and families to create a positive, inclusive Club environment.
Manage program safety, compliance, attendance tracking, and data reporting.
Support the design and delivery of evidence-based programs that meet grant and Club goals.
Collaborate with leadership on staffing, budgeting, and community partnerships.
Maintain clean, safe, and engaging program spaces.
This position requires a consistent on-the-floor management presence during programming hours, creating an environment that encourages members and staff, and proactively addressing issues to ensure a high-quality experience for all.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, or related field preferred.
1-2 years of youth program leadership experience required.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred or has the ability and willingness to secure their certification.
Valid NC Driver's License required; CDL or ability and willingness to secure a CDL is required.
Proven ability to effectively manage and motivate a team to meet goals, establish priorities, encourage creativity, and hit timelines.
Must be a fun, organized person who can use resources wisely and creatively, and communicates effectively.
