Overview
Democracy Summer Fellows work with Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District to train and deploy the next generation of Democratic organizers and leaders. The program runs from June 22 to August 7, 2026, requiring a 15‑20 hour per week commitment.
Responsibilities
Attend and participate in at least 4 hours a week of virtual seminars, discussions, and workshops.
Engage in an additional 10‑15 hours a week of organizing with the campaign (primarily in‑person with some remote responsibilities).
Participate in scheduled speaker sessions and interactive Zoom workshops assigned based on campaign and region.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Available to commit 15‑20 hours a week, including virtual seminars and in‑person organizing.
Will reside near the summer residence location for the selected campaign.
Benefits
Earn a stipend of at least $575 from the campaign to supplement organizing costs.
