
Field Representative

Overview
Interior commercial contractor seeking a qualified candidate responsible for coordinating activities and communicating with project management on various construction projects in the multifamily/student housing industry. Ideal candidate shall have some construction experience, specifically with cabinet and countertop installation. Job requires an organized individual, who operates under time deadlines, and is a team player.
Duties and Responsibilities
Represents Division 12 on the project level
Interacts with Subcontractors and General Contractors
Aids project management team with multiple installation projects through completion and within substantial compliance to the contract documents
Reports project phasing and completion of units to Project Manager for subcontractor payment
Uses Procore (construction software) to record project phasing and completion of units
Assists Project Manager with obtaining information for RFIs and Change Orders
Acts as liaison between project management team and D12 home office
Works with subcontractor/project manager to resolve all punch-list issues prior to occupancy
Makes site visits to ensure subcontractor safely and efficiently unloads materials (mainly countertop unloads)
Has the ability to travel on short notice
Aids in the management of furniture installs during peak season (mostly Summer)
Always maintain the highest possible professionalism and promote good relations and communications with all parties concerned with the job, including the public
Recognize, report, and solve problems in a creative, positive, and constructive way and make recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures, and policies
Reports directly to Construction Manager
Able to lift 50 – 75 lbs. repeatedly and assist with warehouse operations when needed
Job Requirements
Job to be located in Athens, Georgia
High level of comfort and experience using Excel, Outlook, Word, Adobe, etc.
Ability to stay organized and use time efficiently. This position will be working on multiple projects at the same time and needs to be able to work independently.
Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for assigned projects. Provide and explain information to various managers.
Offer input at meetings and share ideas.
Able to drive a 26’ box truck. No CDL required.
Willing to get forklift certified/ OSHA training.
Qualifications
Associates Degree or equivalent in a related field.
Construction experience installing cabinets, countertops, shower systems, trim, doors, and hardware a plus.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills.
Keen attention to detail.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
