Senior Territory Sales Manager
This role is focused on driving strategic sales growth across a defined territory within the life sciences and genomics space. You will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with academic, corporate, and government customers while promoting a portfolio of advanced genomic solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will support customers in identifying the right applications for products across areas such as qPCR, CRISPR, functional genomics, synthetic biology, and next-generation sequencing. The position requires a strong mix of consultative selling, scientific understanding, and commercial execution. You will develop and implement territory strategies that align with revenue goals and long-term account growth. Working in a highly collaborative and science-driven environment, you will leverage internal resources and CRM tools to manage opportunities and deliver customer value. This is a high-impact field role where your ability to influence, strategize, and execute directly drives business performance.
Accountabilities:
Develop and manage assigned territory accounts to drive revenue growth, new customer acquisition, and long-term strategic relationships
Build and execute territory business plans based on market research, customer insights, and growth opportunities
Promote and sell a broad portfolio of genomic solutions including custom oligonucleotides and related technologies across key application areas
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the territory
Conduct regular customer meetings, presentations, and sales calls, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation in CRM systems
Use CRM tools to manage pipeline, forecast sales, track opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making
Collaborate with internal teams and leverage cross-functional resources to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategy and positioning
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related scientific field
5+ years of sales experience, preferably in life science reagents, consumables, or genomic technologies (qPCR, CRISPR, NGS preferred)
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets for at least 3 years
Strong understanding of life sciences research environments and customer needs across academic, biotech, or government sectors
Experience managing complex sales cycles and building long-term customer relationships
Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce; familiarity with Power BI is a plus
Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills
Ability to develop strategic territory plans and execute independently in a field-based role
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) and/or laboratory experience is a plus

Competitive base salary range of $130,000 $160,000
On-target earnings (base + commission) of $210,000 $240,000 annually, with performance-based upside
