We are seeking a customer expansiondriven Account Manager to join the Rightworks Sales organization. This role is designed for a seller who thrives on outbound engagement into an existing customer base, uncovers growth opportunities, and consistently converts those opportunities into revenue. As an Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of existing customers within a territory and act as the primary driver of upsell, cross-sell, and expansion revenue. Using a consultative but sales-led approach, you will proactively prospect within accounts, set meetings, run discovery, deliver compelling recommendations, and close new business. This is a full-cycle sales role with a strong emphasis on self-generated pipeline, disciplined forecasting, and consistent quota attainment. Reporting to the Sales Manager, successful Account Managers are competitive, metrics-driven sellers who take ownership of results and treat their book of business like a territory.
Responsibilities
Own and grow revenue for a portfolio of assigned accounts within a territory, with full accountability for pipeline creation, deal progression, and closed-won results
Execute proactive outbound sales motions (calls, emails, and social touches) to generate qualified meetings and uncover expansion opportunities
Position Rightworks as the trusted, one-stop technology partner for accounting firms, spanning solutions from QuickBooks hosting to fully outsourced IT
Lead high-impact discovery and consultative sales conversations focused on customer pain points, business outcomes, and ROI
Consistently build, manage, and forecast pipeline to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas
Drive deals through the full sales cyclefrom prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and close
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Channel teams to align messaging, campaigns, and customer strategies
Identify patterns, objections, and gaps in the sales motion and recommend process improvements to increase win rates and efficiency
Maintain a strong understanding of the accounting industry, including trends, competitive landscape, and evolving technology needs
Attend industry events, association meetings, and customer visits as needed to support pipeline generation and deal closure
Requirements
35 years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience, with demonstrated success in outbound selling
Strong preference for experience selling technology solutions to accounting firms or professional services organizations
Proven ability to generate pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting (calls, emails, sequences)
Experience with sales productivity and forecasting tools such as Salesforce, Clari, and Groove
Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Confident, persuasive communicator with strong presentation and discovery skills
Highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
Analytical mindset with the ability to tie solutions to business outcomes and value
Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field)

Our compensation range for this role $100,000 - $120,000 OTE, and is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
