Corey Funk is seeking a full-time YouTube Editor to join the team and play a key role in the growth of the channel. This is not just an editing role, but an opportunity to be deeply involved in the full content process from concept to final delivery.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes YouTube, understands what performs, and can contribute both creatively and operationally to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Edit 1 long-form YouTube video per week, optimized for retention, pacing, and storytelling
Support with short-form content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts)
Plan video structure and flow to maximize engagement and watch time
Brainstorming or assist with voiceovers, hooks, and transitions within videos
Collaborate on creative direction, including concepts, intros, and storytelling angles
Stay on top of YouTube trends, pacing styles, and audience behavior
Provide input on how to improve content performance over time
Assist with general team support across content and creative needs
Help with content organization, file management, and workflow efficiency
Proactively identify opportunities to improve editing style, storytelling, and overall channel performance
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience editing high-retention YouTube content
Ability to structure videos and build engaging story flows
Experience writing voiceovers, hooks, or narrative transitions
Deep understanding of YouTube culture and what captures attention
Strong instincts for Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences
Ability to balance long-form storytelling with short-form attention strategies
Comfortable receiving feedback and being coached into a specific editing style
Experience with short-form platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
Highly adaptable, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed
(Preferred) Familiarity with the automotive / car YouTube space
Familiar with Corey’s content and up to date on his niche
Position: Full-time
Location: Remote with optional in person
Start Date: Based on candidate availability
Compensation: Competitive salary, based on experience
Trial Period: 30-day paid trial period to ensure mutual fit
