OVERVIEW
The Category Marketing Specialist - Footwear supports the workflow and execution of marketing projects to achieve established business objects for specific areas of business. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating project timelines. The Marketing Specialist also collects and communicates detailed information for product and other content for each project.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT

Completes Email Marketing Request Form (MRF) with direction from Category Marketing Planning & Merchant partners.

Reviews proofs and is responsible for ensuring all product information is accurate and proofs are routed to the appropriate stakeholders for review and approval.

Photo Shoot Process: Creates template for assigned Photo Shoots that will be a repository for necessary shot and product information.

Captures and distributes notes from Style Out meetings.

Supports cross-category initiatives, such as Personalization, Loyalty, Buy Now Pay Later platforms, delivery platforms, etc., by collaborating with Category Planning and Merchant partners to provide relevant product detail.

Responsible for the set‑up and accuracy of Promo Planning System when needed (primarily for print projects) and submitting to the Pricing Coordinator to initiate merchant price approvals.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Responsible for the seamless flow of information across internal and external partners, ensuring key milestones are communicated and elevated when they are not met.

Ensures projects are being executed in line with established processes to ensure consistency and seamless operations between cross‑functional partners.

Schedules key milestone meetings for Campaign Planning & Photo Shoot Processes, such as Style Out Meetings, Weekly Status Meeting, Agency Kick‑Off, Creative Ways in, etc.

Maintains project schedules and communicates timelines to key stakeholders.

Creates and maintains SharePoint folder structure for shared documents (to be accessed by internal and external partners) and ensures all documents related to a campaign are housed in an organized centralized location.

Actively monitors Workfront projects to keep statuses up to date for department‑level reporting and is responsible for the accuracy of work completion within the project management tool (Workfront). Accuracy of task status is imperative to generating automated and accurate reports and calendars.

Prepares documentation for and leads regular (weekly) Project Status meetings to ensure Stakeholders are aware of and achieving key milestones, raising open questions and concerns.

Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our project management system (Workfront), as a primary user of the tool.

To ensure consistency in process and to manage workload across categories and the Marketing organization, partners with the Manager of Project Management and Manager of Marketing Process on campaign to ensure standard processes and procedures are being used, report on project statuses, evaluate Workfront template usage and improvements, develop and implement standard reporting, and identify areas of opportunity.

Completes additional tasks as assigned by Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field

1-3 years of experience
