About the Role
The Art Director is a digitally-fluent creative who leads the design and execution of brand work across social media, web, paid advertising, campaign assets, and sales collateral. This role is responsible for ensuring Cornbread Hemp shows up with intention and consistency everywhere our audience encounters us. Cornbread shows up in a big way online and in the real world through events and brand activations.
This person will work closely with the Executive Creative Director and collaborate with marketing, creative, and product teams to execute campaigns that are visually consistent, on-brand, and built for community and performance.
Location: Louisville, KY (Hybrid, 4 required in-office days weekly)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
Digital Asset Design
Create visual assets for display advertising, email campaigns, and general brand needs
Design assets in collaboration with events, ambassador, and sales teams
Apply performance-minded thinking to creative, always improving based on results
Social Media Asset Design
Design content across social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Meta
Build and maintain templates for recurring content formats and seasonal campaigns
Develop assets optimized for each platform's specs and user behavior
Campaign Assets
Execute campaign assets from brief to final delivery across many digital and print touchpoints
Translate product stories, brand initiatives, and seasonal moments into cohesive visual systems
Contribute to creative brainstorms with a strong visual POV and the range to execute across formats
Web & Ecommerce Assets
Design on-brand imagery and visual assets for product pages, homepage modules, and brand storytelling on-site
Partner with the creative team to ensure web visuals are optimized, current, and conversion-minded
Maintain a consistent visual language between digital campaigns and the ecommerce experience
Visual Direction & Oversight
Maintain brand consistency and quality across all digital outputs
Provide direction to freelancers and content creators
Direct talent, styling, and creative execution on content shoots
Help evolve the digital design language of the brand as platforms and trends shift
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in art direction or design with a focus on digital and social
Portfolio demonstrating strong work across social, paid media, and web asset environments
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva
Deep understanding of platform-native design (what works on TikTok is not what works on email)
Highly organized with a demonstrated commitment to structure, process, and file management
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing creative quality
Strong collaborator with a confident design point of view and the instinct to push work further
Experience in CPG, wellness, or DTC brand environments preferred
