Job Summary
The Marketing Operations Colorist is responsible for color grading, conforming, media onlining, and titling Broadcast and digital promotional assets used to entice viewers to watch original and acquired programming and subscribe to streaming platforms. This role provides advanced technical post production services for finishing and versioning key marketing assets for Disney Entertainment Television Marketing, including promotional and advertising assets used in paid media plans, B2B Advertising Sales events, Investor Day summits, and experiential consumer events. The Colorist/Finishing Editor is the last person to touch promotional content before it airs and plays a critical role in ensuring every marketing asset is picture perfect.
Responsibilities
Perform professional quality non-linear editing for content promotion, original programming trailers, PR content promotion, and additional marketing and advertising assets that align with enterprise marketing priorities.
Color grade creative concept spots, in addition to other marketing assets containing log footage (graphic pulls, affiliate liners, social media content, etc.), in collaboration with high-level creative executives and stakeholders.
Partner with internal post-production producers, supervisors, and coordinators to quality check each edited video package for visual errors and apply corrections where needed, prior to delivery and on-time with short turnaround.
Partner with management team to create finishing workflow for creative concept spots and implement industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency while maintaining the highest standards for editorial deliveries.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of TV post-production experience as a Colorist in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required. Only candidates who provide a resume with a reel will be considered.
Must have expertise in technical specifications utilized for broadcast, cable distribution, OTT distribution and various social media platforms.
Must possess expertise in Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere (including color grading within both tools).
Must understand creative intent of various spots and be able to enhance quality of final product, both artistically and technically.
Must be well organized, with a high level of attention to detail.
Must be familiar with the Adobe Productions workflow.
Must have a positive attitude and great communication skills.
Must be proficient in various computer software, including PC & Mac environments.
Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to our office in Burbank, CA. This role requires someone onsite 4 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional experience with High Dynamic Range (HDR) workflows.
Experience and familiarity with Apple Final Cut X, Adobe After Effects and AVID.
Familiarity with Leader HD Scopes.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in media related area of study.
Compensation
Salary range: $95,500 - $128,000 per year, based on a 40-hour work week.
