Job Title: Automation Project Manager
Location:
Lebanon, Indiana - 2 weeks required on site a month
Contract:
12 months (strong extension potential)
W2 competitive rate + monthly expense cap
Overview:
Global pharmaceutical organisation delivering a new gene therapy manufacturing facility is seeking an Automation Project Manager to support a fast-paced, high-value capital project within a regulated GxP environment. The role will focus on driving automation delivery across multiple integrated systems during an accelerated build phase.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead delivery of automation scope to schedule, cost, and quality targets.
Coordinate automation activities across MES, BMS, and historian teams.
Manage integration between automation systems and site infrastructure.
Oversee vendors, RFPs, and technical evaluation processes.
Track progress, risks, issues, and change control.
Support reporting, planning, and governance deliverables.
Ensure compliance with GMP and validation requirements.
Requirements:
10+ years’ automation experience in pharma/life sciences.
Strong experience delivering large-scale automation projects.
Background in GxP regulated environments.
Experience working with MES/BMS/historian systems.
Strong stakeholder and project leadership skills.
Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
Highly Desirable:
Experience in capital project delivery environments.
Exposure to CSV processes.
Experience with integrated or highly automated manufacturing sites.
