We’re seeking a detail-oriented
Customs Entry Writer
to join a fast-paced freight forwarding operation in Monterey Park. You will play a critical role in ensuring freight moves efficiently through customs and reaches its destination compliantly and on time.
About the role
Prepare, review and process customs entries and related import documentation
Coordinate U.S. Customs Brokerage activities to ensure efficient cargo clearance
Manage ISF filings and ensure compliance with customs and insurance requirements
Investigate and plan optimal shipment routes based on cost, timing, security and cargo type
Liaise with carriers, customers and third parties across road, rail, air and sea freight
Maintain smooth movement of goods in line with customer deadlines and regulatory requirements
Stay current on customs regulations, legislation and factors affecting freight movement
What we need from you
1–2 years of customs clearance experience, including
ISF filing
and import procedures
Experience using
CargoWise
software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience building and maintaining customer relationships
Ability to pass TSA background requirements and criminal background screening
