Speech Language Pathologists
for the 2026-2027 school year.
This district is searching for experienced service providers to support speech and language services for students in all ages,
in either an onsite or hybrid setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with a compassionate, student-centered team to help students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially through targeted speech and language therapies.
Position Details:
Location: In-person or hybrid (no fully remote options available) in Lake County, IL
Schedule: 33.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Grade Levels: Various, K-12
Start Date: August 2026
End Date: June 2027
Responsibilities:
Provide targeted speech and language therapy services and interventions to students of varying age groups in an academic setting, utilizing either fully on-site or hybrid methodologies.
Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders to enhance students’ academic and social success.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Conduct evaluations and progress monitoring to inform instruction and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines.
Maintain detailed documentation of services, assessments, and student progress.
Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and professional development to support best practices in speech-language services.
Contribute to district-wide initiatives promoting communication development and inclusive learning environments.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates may be considered.
Speech Language Pathology License in the state of Illinois.
Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathology endorsement in the state of Illinois.
Previous school-based or pediatric experience.
Fluency in both English and Spanish - necessary for one opening, but not both
