Biologist - Entomology Special (St Louis)

Job Title : Biologist – Entomology Special
Location : Chesterfield, MO
Pay range : $30 - $37/HR
We are seeking a biologist with a BS/ MS/ PhD degree, or at least two years of laboratory assay experience, to perform technical studies evaluating product safety. The main duties include:
Supporting insect bioassays with artificial diet to assess insecticidal compounds, following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) 40 CFR part 160 procedures.
Receiving, maintaining, and tracking insect colonies and lab supplies using electronic inventory systems.
Maintaining agricultural crops in growth chambers or greenhouses.
Providing quality control for scientific data and reports.
Maintaining general laboratory cleanliness and equipment.
Assisting with additional lab tasks and occasionally working weekends as needed.
Desired Skills:
Strong foundation in entomology or related biological science.
Proficiency in standard lab techniques, including pipetting and solution preparation. Experience with insect bioassays preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, team-based environment.
High attention to detail and good writing skills. Experience with study documentation using electronic data systems is preferred.
Familiarity with quality management systems such GLP, ISO, or equivalent systems is preferred.
