Accounting Advisory Consultant (IFRS Focus) - Portuguese Fluency (Chicago)

District Partners is partnering with a private equity-backed advisory group supporting an international operating entity that is actively strengthening its accounting and reporting infrastructure. They’re seeking a hands-on Accounting Advisory Consultant to step in, stabilize the accounting function, support audit readiness, and ensure full IFRS compliance.

This is a high-impact role with strong visibility across both U.S. and international leadership, ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to evolving environments.

What You'll Do:
Stabilize and support the day-to-day accounting function for an international entity
Lead audit readiness efforts, including preparation and organization of supporting documentation
Ensure financial reporting is fully aligned with IFRS standards
Identify gaps in accounting policies and implement improvements
Partner with internal teams and external auditors to drive an efficient audit process
Build scalable processes and documentation to support ongoing compliance and reporting
Provide clear reporting and insights to leadership across multiple geographies

What You'll Have:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Strong IFRS experience, ideally within accounting advisory or public accounting
Background in audit, technical accounting, or financial reporting
Experience working with international entities or cross-border operations
Fluent in Portuguese (required)
Ability to operate in fast-moving or ambiguous environments and create structure quickly

Duration : Minimum 3 months (with potential to extend)
Location : U.S.-based with periodic travel to Rio de Janeiro (travel expenses fully covered)
